Older travellers get bigger choice of breaks with launch of JG Travel Group
Coach tour operator expands by adding cruise, European air and events trips
Cheltenham, 6 September 2017: Cruises, Continental touring holidays and trips to events are among the wider choice of great-value breaks that older travellers can look forward to with today’s news that JG Travel Group (JGTG) has acquired Omega Holidays Group (OHG).
This formidable new player in the travel sector has united four brands that focus on holidaymakers aged between 60 and 80, bringing a bumper choice of inspiring and better-value holidays – including its exclusive tours in association with the National Trust – to a wider audience.
The newly extended range of interesting and affordable trips will be provided by: Omega Holidays, a specialist in short breaks centring on events such as concert and theatre performances, and European air holidays; Cruise Connections, supplier of worldwide cruise offers; Just Go! Holidays, a leading door-to-door group tour operator; and Albion Journeys, which offers heritage tours of the UK and Ireland for the North American market.
The move signals an exciting period of significant growth for JGTG through the acquisition of brands offering complementary products. Backed by a highly supportive private equity group and with a strong leadership team, JGTG is set to continue expanding through acquisition into 2020 and beyond.
